One Pedal at a Time

Just got off the phone with Kathy Pruitt (way cool!). This girl rocks in more ways than one!
At the age of 16 she won her first Jr. World Championship!

She is back in Jersey to compete in the US Open of Mountain Biking. It takes place at Diablo Free Ride Park, one of coolest places to ride!
Wishing her a repeat win of her event!

Aside from winning all the time, Kathy is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met!
At 24, she has wisdom beyond her young age.
I was speaking to her about challenges that people face on a daily basis, along with life changing events that happen (even to good people), and how people respond and cope with them.
And without getting all philosophical on me she simply and calmly said "One step at a time".
It couldn't get any simpler than that! I know she was smiling when she said that!

Simply take what ever event or challenge you are having (or imagine you are going to have) and make it about now! "This moment" and at this moment, you alone have the Power to make a Choice of what to do! And what choices you make determine your outcome. Yes, it is that simple! If you don't like your outcome, choose again! You have the power of choice! No one can take that away from you, and if there is anything you want to own in your life, it is that!
Besides it is free!
Anything you do is a metaphor for your life.
When you learned to ride a bike, it was one pedal at a time. The same as if you are racing and your body wants to quit, you can focus on one pedal at a time.

So when it seems like life is throwing you a challenge and you can't see your way out, just focus on the moment. Be grateful for what you already have, feel the breeze or the warm sun, and start from that point forward one step at a time!
I owe this post to Kathy Pruitt for reminding me to take it one step at time and focusing on the moment.
Please take the time to meet Kathy. It could change your life!

Thanks Kathy!
